The Evo Trail is MSR's entry snowshoe: a one-piece polypropylene deck with steel traction rails moulded into it, 1.64 kg the pair in the 22 inch size. MSR rates it to 180 lb of combined body and pack weight, or 250 lb with add-on flotation tails sold separately. The deck and frame are a single unit rather than a fabric deck strung on a tube, which is why it grips well on hard-packed and icy trail and floats less well in deep powder.
