The Atmos built its reputation on one trick that still works: the Anti-Gravity mesh backpanel wraps the load around you while keeping a hammock of air against your back, so you sweat less than in a pack pressed flat against your spine. That ventilation is the reason to buy it, and it is genuinely better than most in hot, humid conditions. It is not the lightest 65-liter pack, and the suspended mesh adds a little bulk, but the carry comfort and the tune-able fit earn it. For three-season backpackers who run hot and want a proven, comfortable multi-day hauler, it is a benchmark for good reason.
