RidgeNote methodology
The method is simple: record what the source says, label the limits of that evidence, and withhold products that fail the publication gate.
STEP 01
Each published product is confirmed against an authorized retailer listing. Product pages link out so readers can check the retailer directly.
STEP 02
Weights, dimensions and materials come from the maker's own pages wherever the maker publishes them, otherwise from a retailer listing; list prices are the manufacturer's. When a specification has a recorded source and check date, the product page shows them.
STEP 03
Makers often print more than one weight. The headline weight is the maker's complete figure (packed, packaged or total: what ships with the product) wherever the maker prints one; a minimum or trail weight sits beside it, never in its place. A maker that prints only a minimum keeps it as the headline. Shelves, rankings and pack totals all compare the headline, and where the maker says what its figure includes, the product page's Weight basis line repeats it.
STEP 04
Temperature ratings are manufacturer claims unless the source explicitly identifies ISO 23537 or EN 13537. RidgeNote does not present an unattributed rating as independently tested.
STEP 05
The automated gate blocks publication when a product has no retailer link, when its listing price has no recorded source and date, or when a temperature rating neither cites a test standard nor is labelled as the maker's claim. Where a maker publishes no list price we can read, the product page says so rather than showing one.
