How we validate a spec
The method is simple: record what the source says, label the limits of that evidence, and withhold products that fail the publication gate.
STEP 01
Confirm the listing
Each published product is confirmed against an authorized retailer listing. Product pages link out so readers can check the retailer directly.
STEP 02
Record the figures
Weights, dimensions, materials, and manufacturer list prices come from manufacturer sources. When a specification has a recorded source and check date, the product page shows them.
STEP 03
Label what the number means
Temperature ratings are manufacturer claims unless the source explicitly identifies ISO 23537 or EN 13537. RidgeNote does not present an unattributed rating as independently tested.
STEP 04
Apply the publication gate
The automated gate blocks publication when a price cannot be verified, sits above manufacturer list price, lacks a retailer link, or when a temperature rating has no attribution.
RidgeNote publishes manufacturer list price as a reference point, not a current retailer quote, and does not track price history. See the About page for that boundary in full.
