VectoX Durable Water Container 42mm

The VectoX fixed the thing everyone hated about squeeze systems, which is filling the dirty bag. The wide slide-closure top lets you scoop from a shallow seep or a two-inch creek instead of funneling water into a bottle neck, and the 42 mm threaded bottom screws straight onto a Katadyn BeFree so you can hang it and gravity-feed at camp. Thicker TPU than the original Vecto makes it more puncture-resistant, still at only 76 grams. Two cautions. That slide closure remains the failure point; grit in the channel or a clamp that is not fully seated will leak, and a clamp that works loose in your pack empties two liters onto your sleeping bag. Second, check the thread before ordering, because this is the 42 mm BeFree size and will not mate with the 28 mm thread a Sawyer filter uses. At its list price it is also a real spend.
