At 63 grams for filter and flask together it is the lightest complete treatment system most people will carry, and the 42 mm thread lets the cap sit on a larger bag for camp water. The fiber clogs, and it clogs fast. In silty or tannin-heavy water, flow can fall off within a few liters, and the only field fix is swishing the cartridge, since there is no syringe backflush like a Sawyer's; once slow, it rarely fully recovers, which makes the 1,000-liter rating optimistic. The soft flask is the other failure point, with cap threads and seams that wear. Most important: a single freeze ruins the cartridge invisibly, so in shoulder-season cold it sleeps in your bag.
